I Made it. The place where I've dreamed about as a kid. (and still dreamnt about). Skywalker Ranch in Marin Co. California. For those who don't know what this place is, I'll tell you.

Star Wars.

Yup! I'm recording three of my cues here at the ranch with the San Fran Symphony Orchestra. They are only 1.0-1.5 minutes a piece, but it's going to be so worth it!

After an hour drive from the airport and the windiest road on earth we finally got here. 8 miles from the main road seemed like forever. We pulled up to a desolate dark gate (this was obvisously in the evening) and punched the button. I expected George himself to answer the door and let us in. Nope. Then i expected the security guard to wave his hand and use the force to open the gate. Nope. Then I expected to see R2 check us in. Nope. WTF? No worries, the fire department checked us in so at least we were in safe hands for the night.

Every hotel room here at the ranch has a different name of famous people that George was inspired by. Norman Rockwell, Orsen Wells, McCay, Capra, etc. I was to stay in the Igmar Bergman (Film Director) room which looked like a cottage straight from Middle earth. Unfortunately, there were a few middle earth friends staying in that room too so I had to move to another across the hall. Carl Larsson's room. So the friendly fireman opened the door and lo and behold the room was huge. and Pink. (lots of red and white draperies everywhere) Apparently Carl was a painter who liked painting women from the late 1800s so the entire room is a blast from the past. Almost like a Southern plantation house. I think this room was intended for the women guests. :) Ooh well, funct it. I'm at Skywalker Ranch.



We had a wonderful dinner in the main guest dining area with this old rustic fireplace. The hall was surrounded by wooden beams and old rusty farming equipment. It was very inviting. The chairs however made of wood killed my back. A few glasses of wine later we call it the night.

I'm going to give more updates in this blog entry so if you want to read more about my recording experience I'll post pictures and clips soon. Today we are going to the sound stage and later tonight we will be recording the Choir. Oh the glory.



Welp, The next two days were just as glorious. I got all three cues of my mine recorded and in the evening we got the Choir parts to go with it them. I met a TON of wonderful people from the trip and I'm looking forward to going back.

My composer friends, Aaron Marshal and Marcus Aurelius Klonek were able to make it out for a few hours and I think they were in 7th heaven being the star wars nerds that we are. Perhaps one day they'll get a chance to record their work here too. I also got to hang out with the highly talented gaming composer, Inon Zur - www.inonzur.com

The new year... Holy smokeages.

Life has been nuts this past year. Not to mention the past few months over the holidays. I moved into a new house with my beautiful girl. We had a little baby boy, Myndin William on Dec 4th. We had my relatives and hers in all through the holidays. for XRD it was the holidays so I was in charge of a lot of the shipping and not to mention shipping out their new Rock Disks. I had to prepare all my cues for the orchestra (and finalize all the cues with orchestration, copiest, prelays, etc). I started working on a Turkish feature Film Score called Semum. (which the deadline is rapidly approaching on the 15th of Jan). Wewy. Somehow, I still have my sanity. or do I. Funct it. I'm at Skywalker Ranch.

Music:
I would have loved to put out more music albums this holiday season, but from what I mentioned above, it's been rather crazy so I just haven't had the time to do so. Plus, most of these albums are from actual soundtracks where I have to negotiate the terms with the directors and producers before I'm able to sell them to the public. That's my goal for this year so hopefully I'll have some new stuff out before you know it.

My life out here in LA has been pretty good to me so far. I'm a TON of new people and still looking for the doorways for when that big earthquake comes a rockin. I'm now living closer to my work. (X-Ray Dog Music) and I'm lucky enough not to even touch the freeways. *does a flip*
Freeways can drain you physically and emotionally. SO.. avoid them if you move out here. And be sure to get a job where you don't have to even see them. Hearing them however... is another story. I hear the 170&134 all the time. Its just sounds like a mechanical ocean to me at this point.

hurmmm. what else.. I dunno. if you want to see my latest work it's usually posted on my main page.

Goals... I've got them set in place for 2007 so lets see if I can reach them. I didn't get my agent like I wanted for my birthday, but the more I look at it, the more I'm not quite ready. It's a catch 22 with these guys anyway. I can't get signed if I don't have major names under me and I can't get major names if I don't have an agent.

Umm.. what else. Holy crap I'm beat. Last month was a real kicker for me. On top of scoring the 6 films, I also submitted the two to www.dvxuser.com 's Horrorfest '06 competition. "Lakeside" ended up placing 8th. (of 65) "Brown Waters" placed 35 (of 65)

I just wrapped, "The Phoenix Agenda" feature film along with "GPS The Movie" which I attended the premiere in Seattle, WA. It was a HUGE success, and Hopefully you guys will get to see it in blockbusters everywhere! :)

This was submitted a few months back, but I'm finally sitting down to write about it. Because it was for DVX user, I was not allow to post outside of the website. Now that its over, here we go... :)

Das right boys and girls.. I've went out on a limb and shot myself a movie. (another one) My roommates left for the weekend so I didn't have anyone else really to come help out and I was bound and determined to make an entry for the May 30th deadline. (well, that's not entirely true, but for some reason I just wanted to see if I could pull the entire thing off myself.) (ya, I'm a chode like that)

So, on the 19th of May (Friday evening) I happened to come across a loaned DVX. Yay I says!! (well, for the time being.) I'm told I would have the camera for at least two weeks. Plenty of time to shoot some of my K&K trailer footage and come up with a cool lil' Hero film for the film festival.

Wrong.

Roommate calls, "Umm.. ya, cam has to be returned on Monday morning. Sorry dude. Not my call..." (this was Saturday afternoon (may20th) and I hadn't started filming anything yet)

So, with an empty house... I sat down, looked around my room and found a cowboy hat that I had purchased from Eric Colley (Director of GPS the movie) (another long story) and thought that looked to be a good start. So, I pulled out my trench coat and thought it looked like some sort of hero. Or.. masked villain. Whatever.. just use your imagination like I did people and the world will be a better place. (for you and me…). So, I took a baseball cap and turned it backwards and flipped it upside down and tied some duct tape around it to fit securely under my chin. then, I took a scarf and placed it over the upside down cap. Bingo. I've got a start on a costume. Check it.

Then, Now what. I took off my friggin’ blazin hot superhuman garmets and went outside and sat on the hammock and looked to the sky with my pad/pencil. Damn. I love the California sky. So blue.. so nice.. ahh the bliss. Just hope it doesn't decide to fart and have an earthquake on us. Beside the point. So, I was thinking... "What would a super hero do all day if he's sitting there protecting someone. Someone like myself, which I do nothing but sit in front of my damn computer anyway. Life's gota be pretty boring right?

Ok.. great!! he's a protector of a boring guy! That's stupid too. Hurmm.. Well, what if its... (spoiler) (nah.. I'm not going to give it away) muuuuaahahahaha!! You'll have to go watch the movie. Regardless, the character receives a gift from "The Stars Above" and it starts to 'persuade' him.

Bottom line.. I shot the thing myself and had 40+ VFX shots. Keep in mind.. deadline was less than 6 days away. Crash course in After Effects, lots of rotoscoping and glows, motion tracking, Chroma keying of some green screen shots. (which, some of them suck ass btw) On top of learning all these new tools, I still have a job.. other gigs, and somewhat of a non-dysfunctional social life with my awesome roomies so finding the time was daunting in itself. But, I was bound and determined. NOT to mention I scored 2 other films for the festival including my own. AND... a backup score for another entry. (which, i don't think was even used which is cool cause its still a really rad "Matrix'esk" styled ending with lots o' groovin' drums. tis called, RFEYED. http://edgen.hostpaw.com/edgen_rfeyed.mp3

The fest had to be a series of a few rules. 6 minutes in length, pertain to a superhero, and must be done within a certain time period (no preexisting films could be submitted)

All I have to say is that the community over there at www.dvxuser.com is absolutely fantastic and it’s a really really great group of people all willing to help out, contribute and put resources together to help anyone out.


and ya.. Go check it out! Who knows.. Some of these guys WILL be the next spielbergs, and lucas’s and M.Nights and Tarentinos, and Name of Famous Director here. :)

Then.. k. cool. no hair, no dirt.. looks like champ under the hood. I start to replace the keys back to their homes. Funct me. I hit a key. OK, have you ever taken a piece of velvet and rubbed it against a kitchen knife? Ya.. it catches and scrapes. Well, that's what stupid ass me did with the peg. Now when I hit the keys, there's a little scraping sound as i punch down the keys and when it releases. Ugg. So, in another two-3 years, maybe I'll have to go back in and sand those little guys back down.

Moral of the story.. use soft needle nose plyers or something that will not funct up the metal knobs and scrape against velvet.

So, when I finaly get around to recording a track with my 'now personalized' piano, you'll hear this scratching sound every time a key is played.

Other than that, its summer time. Its hot as frak here at my house and unfortuntately I haven't had the chance to spring for a new AC unit. BUt, alas, i'm moving at the end of the month so hopefully I can stand it a wee longer. I'm moving to Burbank/Toluca Lake so it'll be yet another chapter in my life. I'm currently sweating up here in the beautiful 'Woodland Hills'.

For the music front, I'm currently 'signed on' for 9 short films ranging from 2 minutes to 10 minutes in length along with 4 indy feature films. Slowly but surely i'm knocking the little guys out and the features... well, they are beasts in themselves. So that will be an adventure as ususal. Because I'm doing so many projects, I feel as though my skills are improving and I'm finally ready to take my work to the next level. So, I just set myself a goal of finding myself an agent. Now... I know finding one is going to be a bitch and its one massive 'catch 22' to find him/her, but I've got now until December 7th (my birthday) to nail one down. I think that's a reasonable amount of time and by then, my skills will hopefully improved yet again and ready to take on the full big budget films. (again, crossing my fingers) I'm still also working part time for X-Ray Dog. Specially since everyone is finishing up their cues, it'll be a rush time to get their badass music to the world. Definitely look out... it'll be the next wave music you'll hear in the theatre trailers.

Kings and Kingdoms ( www.kingsandkingdomsmovie.com ) is still in the back of my mind and because of the rough hectic month of moving, its a slow process. But, day by day, I'm still thinking of new little scenes in my head that would look pretty kickin' on the big screen. So, slow and steady I'll win this race.

if you haven't seen it already, you've only got a few more weeks to purchase my Ultimate DVD for $125. (reg $250) Not only are you helping me out this month, but you are getting a hella deal. I'm a tard for not charging more, but since my main audience seems to be "broke students" looking for free inspirations, I guess i'll just have to get used to it. As long as I'm inspiring those peeps to do something creative with their life I think I've done my job.

I stand up and move back in the middle of the bathroom just looking around.

"Frak me.. I forgot what I was looking for."

I walk back to my computer and sit down and continue working/playing.
An hour and a half later..
Shit. Oh ya, I had to use the bathroom.



On a positive note,
I started my Kings and Kingdoms trailer this past weekend!! High five to me!

I had been bugging my roomate to bring home the DVX video camera for the past week and its been a drudging ordeal, so finally he did so on saturday. I spent a good time just looking at the thing but never hit the record button. Sunday rolls around. After wasting a day... and then a half day just thinking what to do, i went out and got a few shots. After that, I went into my room and created the avatar you now see on www.Myspace.com/edgen and the avatar on the right here at my blog >>> . After I piddled around with that for way too long, I Then had my roomates act in a few of the shots just to test it out. Then next thing I know its 3:00 a.m. and the camera has to be returned by monday morning. (it was sunday night)

so, I took some of the footage and put it together. did some after fx shots and added a shit ton of sound fx. After seeing what all I had completed with Adobe Premeire, After FX, 3dsmax, and live action and shitton of masking and rotoscoping, i wanted to add even more and turn it into an all out trailer instead of just a short teaser. And, after seeing how 'easy' it was to do some of the FX, i'm planning on doing some more the next time he brings home the camera (which will be this weekend). I managed to write down about 30+ wish list shots from various scenes in my movie so now i just got to impliment them.

Right now, it stops about 3/4 the way through so I've still got to do a lot more fast cuts, dialog, and acting. I also included my 'Vengeance' cue so when i published this hog, it'll be it's world premiere to my very first live orchestral score. Another High Five.

Hopefully once its all said and done, I'll be happy enough to take it to some major investors who know other major investors who know dudes or dudettes at studios. I think the females will the dig it just as much as the males. After all.. I'm letting you know now... Kings and Kingdoms is a love story about a man who comes home from a grueling 'local battle' to find his Wife and his 5 year old Son missing. He is then being banished from his homeland by the queen for treason. (oooh oh. the story's out now! icky icky boing! it just so happens to have some very intense moments to make even the manly of men poop their pants. And, of course kids will like it too. (if mommy and daddy will let them)

Also, I'm on page 50 of typing out my script and already I'm 1/4 the way through the hand written script. Looks like I just wrote two movies instead of just one. (silly me and my rolls) So, I may have to either nix a shit ton of stuff or turn what I have into the 2nd episode.

Life needs to be Epic. So get you some Epic.

Maybe i was just caught up in the moment, but damn!!! The frakin' show just threw me for a Loop d'loop!

While I'm here... I just got word from a few filmmakers about a western!!! They used my music in their trailer and you can view it at www.myspace.com/edgen its called, "Redemption". Its an indy movie but it looks absolutely stunning! Check it out for yourself. I got a copy of the script and perhaps I'll be working on more than just the trailer. Keep checkin' in for more word on that front. Directed by Robert Conway and edited by John Paul Giago.

Its also ironic.. I'm scoring a MAX Payne Fan film called, 'Max Payne and Redemption'... isn't that just groovy? Ya. I thought so. High fives all around.

GOt word back on my "Vengeance" cue. Ends up I need to do a LOT of work before they approve it. So, looks as though I'm putting a live choir track down as well!! It'll definitely take it over the top. yeee haw!

I got a rare opportunity to record with the seattle, WA Sinfonia Orchesta at Bastyr Chapel with X-Ray Dog Music. ( www.x-raydogmusic.com ) I"ve been working with X-Ray Dog Music since Janurary and they asked if I would like to go up with them and help as a PA. Ummm.Frak ya I says! So, a month goes by and I think.. hey.. I wonder if they'll have like 15 minutes to spare for me to take a crack at having a cue of mine recorded... So.. I asked. they said, "yep. What do you got?"

Well, I picked two pieces. Both of which would be from my Kings and Kingdoms project. (obviously) cause I'm that serious about getting K&K off the ground and made into a feature Film. So, I picked my "Knights" and "Vengeance". Both of which I thought were pretty slick and would be fun to hear those professionals play it. So, I talked it over with Chris Field ( www.chrisfieldmusic.com ) and he liked the 'knights', but Mitch thought my Vengeance piece would sell more. So, I suppose I got greedy. Not really.. but, since I was going to pay this much money for a 3 minute song, I may as well get some mileage out of it. Afterall, i live in LA and its friggin' expensive out here.

I packed my things for the week of a fun filled trailer'fied musics imaginable and got my first hand at witnessing an orchestra for the first time up close and personal. Imagine the most dramatic, dynamic and energitic meat and potatoes of music and then hearing those cues being played for 4 days straight!! OOOH the bliss.

Its monday.. we record.. I've got a grin ear to ear. My cue was scheduled for thursday morning early. 9:00. Frak!! Its all done, printed but there was a few mistakes. Quick! call the orchestrator and have them fix it. So, I had to have him change a few things and got it off to the copiest, Puff. Yes. His name was 'Puff'. Super nice guy, but when he's talking business, he's talking business. I swear to god, I thought i was in trouble just listening to him ask questions on what needed to be changed. You know the shows where the character imagines crazy things as they are talking. Like daydreaming? Well, at any moment, I was that guy and I could have sworn he was going to pull out his chainmail, spiked ax and fire would illuminate his eyes. yikes! But, it worked I was happy.

So all week I carted around the other composers, picked up a few errands, and basically had an absolutely fantastic time. I really got to know some of the guys are they are doing what they love and they are highly successful at it. Not too often you can say, "Ya.. I write the music I want to write and yet its still being used in the movies". This is the life of X-Ray Dog and its close nit group of composers.

Then it comes to thursday morning. I was so nervous because I knew my piece was difficult to play, but since I was a newbie, they put me first thing in the morning to get them 'warmed up'. Thing is... they didn't exactly play the best in the morning. They still had oatmeal blown into the instruments and their fingers were still sticky from the early morning bagels and/or their coffee had yet to kick in.

9:05. damn.. time is ticking away. tech issues. 9:07.. one, two, three, bar 1...... boom.. "NOOOo" the conductor says.. and "Stop... There's some flanging going on in the sound." By this time, I'm thinking "oh great. funct me." Someone else will have to go and I"ll have to do mine later. GOod ole' brian the viking, fixed it in protools and we were off!! 9:08, "One, Two, Three, Bar one...."

Wowa.. the first take was really something else. they were sooo off and all over the place. My face was getting red from imbarassment, but the guys assured me it would be fine cause they usually don't do too well after the first one. Take two of the first half of the cue. Better. Still a little Loose. Take three.. wowa. Still.. 'eh', but that's my fault. apparently I had some tempo changes in there and they couldn't hang. But, still it was good enough for me so we move onto the second ending. (which, will be two cues now). Of course the first one was .. bleh. Second was OK. and I think they nailed the last one pretty damn good. 9:25.. I'm out of the pilates seat and brushing my shirt to cool myself down.

Hell yas I says. That was cool. Next time, I'm gonna do this different, do that different, and this different and I'll be a pro! Ya right. This stuff takes time and experience and not going to lie. I've got a Loooong way to go, but I think it'll definitely pay off in the end. Having other people play your work life was amazing and I'm looking forward to the next round.

I got to meet a LOT of really cool people along with some locals from Seattle. Eric, Hallie, Paul (and his sister), GPS - Treasure Code: GISH43, ( http://www.gpsthegame.com ) and Director, Kevin Maistros. We had a lot of fun during the week.. Even made a 'trailer' ourselves. (i'm sure i'll be able to find some really good trailer music for it :) )

I've played the piece to a few people, but i still don't think its completely ready to post to the public, plus if they include it in their libary, the only place you'll really get to hear it is in the movie theatres and immortalized into a major moving picture. (or FOX/NBC golfing promo)

I'm still waiting on getting my pictures back and when i do, i'll post a few of them here.

Of course this is just a small little story of the week, and theres sooo much more to tell about the event which at the moment my fingers are tired just from typing this much. stupid blogs and telling people your life. :)

On yet another note, I recently created three 15 second commercial spots for the American Express card online contest. Well, my friend Magri sends me a link and i look at the expiration date. OOOPS! it was the next day! so, I got my roomie to bring home a DVX camera and we got together that night and created three spots. one of them stars me :) and.. All three of them got rejected. :) We thought we had winners on our hands. Oh well. iT was fun and we had a good time editing till 1:30 in the morning.

Other than that.. I'm in talks with a marketing guy to completely revamp all my work. So, in the next few months a lot of this will be gone and 'regrouped' more appropriately. So, Some may dig the changes.. others may not. But, I don't want to go on day by day living on Ramon noodles and saving every loose change to pay the bills. I want to be comfortable and I think its a good route to take.

"Clone Crusade" is part of my Edgen Super Hero series. Its two of me in a fighter jet tackling the evil pollution. For those who travel the pennyrile parkway back in Kentucky, you'll recognize the big smoke stacks. I took the picture as I was speeding along. How safe am I? No worries. Cause i'm spiderman. I've decided to take matters into my own hands. I have 2-3 movies out there still 'editing' and I've decided to just go and make my own. So, I've come up with a small short film called, 'Insides'. Its about a dude... and artist... a digital artist. (sound familiar?) And a journey of his mental thoughts on life and those around him.

I'm not sure how long it will be, but I'm guessing around 8 minutes or so. Of course, i've got the soundtrack in my head and all the necessary means to make the movie. My good friend Susan Laine along with Futene are helping to produce the film. I think it'll be a neat little project. Not to mention one I can finally officially call 'my own'. Along with Insides, I have another series of ultra quick shorts called, "Mack and Jack". Its about to two stoners who've never smoked and their daily adventures as young adults who still can't seem to grow up. I'll post these as a series once I get them shot. they'll probably be anywhere from 30-45 seconds a piece.

I had a weird dream.. (like I always do) It consisted of my dad with a rifle shooting a Bull that's attacking one of our buffalo (i'd assume it was ours). I'm in an old farm house on the second floor looking out the window across a small yard. He's out by the fence near a small pond and he's trying to save the buffalo's life. Then, finally he knocks it down dead with multiple shots. When all the sudden, this massive Rhino looking thing emerges from beyond the hills and starts to roar trampling the wounded buffalo into the ground. Dad takes off running and the whole time this is happening, i'm filming it with my little cybershot camera. I look up and there's this alien dropship deploying bomb after bomb. each one exploding closer to the old house. I take a deep breath, clentch up, and yell for my brothers to head for the basement. My youngest exclaims he wants to play another round of Warcraft. "FRakk no!" I said and they run down with me to the basement. I look out the windows and I see little objects trolling about the windows. I rush to lock all the doors... one after the next and i realize there's one more to go.. By then I'm looking towards the door as it slowly opens. of course, I couldn't move as if there was glue stuck to every part of my body. I make it to the door and there stood 2 little creatures about 3 feet tall staring right at me. The other was behind the door that opened up to the outside. I quickly reached for the door knob to shut it as the creatures started to advance closer. aRRGHGHAGH.. Crap! slammed the door and ducked down. I look back to my brothers who are curled up in fetal positions against the washer and dryer. I woke up.

I often wonder about myself and wish I would write more of these down. It happens to me all the time. My roomates think I'm nuts. Maybe I just shouldn't tell them my dreams anymore. Its never murderers, never Hot, beautiful women who are movie stars wishing to sit on my lap, its never in big crowded cities.. Its always in small remote places.

Mom, I hope you don't read this cause you are probably think you've got a really bizarre son. Well. ya. I suppose so.

Ahhhh.. dreams. If you get a chance to just sleep in, that's the way to go. let your mind go. I think its ok. just know this... there are others out there like us.

Ha!! I was getting off the freeway (all my great stories evolve around the 101) and I came to a light. Well, this old clunker was sitting in the middle of the road. I couldn't see the cars in front of it, and all the sudden the light turned green for me to take a left. Well, the car is still there. hehehehhe.. then.. This little old asian woman jumps out of the passenger side of the car and starts pushing it.. YEllIng at her husband who's steering it. She moved it about a foot and yelled more. Well, of course the LA mentality of people swerved right on around them. Well, I wanted to stop... I felt that It would be a good deed to stop, but I didn't. I had to keep going because of all the others behind me not even realizing what was going on. It wasn't the situation but the yelling that made me laugh. I'm sure the husband was like, "You dumb Wentch... Push!" hehehehe ok. it wasn't so funny, but I had a good chuckle. One of those things that just gets implanted in my head.

I've been writing a short film over the past week and I'm getting together with my friend Susan to put it in production. Its a dark little story about a Digital Artist who goes crazy and starts making shit up. Sound familiar? that's odd. ya. who. Ya. Well, I've got a meeting this weekend with a few people to make it. should be fun.

Strange things usually happen to me. Like the other day I was just driving along and all the sudden this massive pile of smoke bolted out from a car ahead of me. Immediately, I was like... 'oh snap.. a wreck!!' So, I slowed down. The smoke cleared and the driver kept driving as if nothing was wrong. People here in LA are weird. Cool weird. but a weird weird. stupid story i know.

I got another gig today. its short music clips/loops for a Kids educational Game. :) Kids ROCK!! I suppose I look around every now and then and see one jumping around without a worry in the world and I'll say to myself.. "Ya know... I want one of those. Where can I get one?" Then, think back and realize that's not such a good idear at the moment. For one, I still sleep on a sleeping bag. I suppose its not so bad. If you've ever slept on a sleeping bag, as you know, they are comfortable as hell! Almost as good as sleeping on silk. :)

Bundled up a group of CDs tonight to ship out tomorrow. i'm a few weeks behind. (Sorry guys who ordered them last week) I'm actually developing a system with my dad to sell the individual .zip files straight from the web, that way people won't have to buy the physical Cd, but can rather just purchase the artwork, mp3s, stories, and assests to make the CDs themselves and save a 3-4 bucks. Cool huh? ya. I thought so too. then.. i'm going to license the software out to my music friends who want to do the same. And.. of course get a small commission from each sale. Again.. not bad eh?

as I write in this blog, I wonder how long I'll actually continue to update it. Most things I get, i'll play with them for a while and then get bored. I actually had another blog at blogger.com but nixed that after a while.

The Hunt? Yes. I was trolling around the countryside one day and look what I found. I'm telling you, thes guys friggin' stink!! Oh My, They are beautiful... but stink. Shewey. I've got some more great shots like this and i'll post them in my next blog entry. So, keep coming back. Also.. I've got a discount for my DVD coming up that i'll only post here. Bada Big Boom. My plate is getting heavy and i'm having a tough time trying to figure out what to do next. I have 7 post it notes tacked to my computer monitor and its filled with 5-6 each. Nothing seems to be getting crossed off, and I keep adding more. WTF am I thinking? Geezus. I just need to learn to relax and as my friend, Magri says... "Stop to smell the roses damnit". Well, I smelled the roses before and I know what they are like. Perhaps I'll try and smell some honeysuckles. That way i'm at least getting to taste them too.

MySpace... Everyone's got it. I'm getting all sorts of great people, and its opening my doors to a whole new group of people. From every shape and forms of life. Including old past friends from HS. Speaking of that.. My 10 year reunion is coming up and I'm going to go. Yay me. Also, my friend Charmaine is going to be on this season's "The Apprentice" So... check the show out and root her on. She may suck, or she may take it all the way to the end. She won't tell. I do have to say that she's looking friggin' amazing still! Most people from HS got chubby or have 2-3 kids. Which.... is cool and all, but they choose to start life early. Fuck. I'm still at square one. I'm sure one of these days someone will come in and swipe me off my feet. She better make me laugh. That's all I've got to say about that. :)

Otherwise, I'll continue to pound the beers and the mountain dews while my desk piles up with shit of papers and bills. Maybe i'll take down some of these sticky notes and just throw them away. Oops.. That would piss some clients off now wouldn't it? "sorry dude.. I forgot".. (j/k) I love my work and my job. California ain't half bad either. I do miss home and my family though. 3 years I say. 3 years till you see a film on the silver screen and I scored the soundtrack. I still have 2.5 to go.
